About Author ORCID
In order to carry out scientometric accounting, various electronic databases and registers of scientific information have been created, usually mainly scientific journals. The rules for submitting materials to different journals differ.
One of the significant differences important for the author from the point of view of scientometry is the format of writing the surname, first name and patronymic. The same author can have many combinations of these elements, including linguistic ones in translations. Therefore, electronic scientometric identifiers, in particular ORCID, have been created for the purpose of bringing associations of all possible spellings to a single author. Moreover, associations with other existing ones can be connected to this identifier: Web of Science Researcher ID, Scopus ID and others.
For the journal "Economic Research Institute Journal", the provision of the ORCID identifier in the author's information is mandatory. The editorial board, when placing issues of the journal in scientometric databases, must specify this metadata element.
ORCID registration.
