Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the shadow economy in the Russian Federation for the period 2022–2024. The absolute and relative scale of the phenomenon, its sectoral structure and the dynamics of key indicators, such as the volume of shadow GDP, informal employment and the level of economic crime, are investigated. Based on data from Rosstat, the Bank of Russia, the Federal Tax Service and scientific research, stable trends and structural shifts in the shadow sector are identified. Special attention is paid to the impact of external economic sanctions and the adaptation mechanisms of business and the population. The article serves as a basis for understanding current challenges and developing targeted measures to de-shadow the economy.
