The relevance of the study is determined by the key role of digitalization in ensuring the competitiveness of the national economy, especially in the context of increasing external sanctions restrictions, which have exposed structural problems and Russia's dependence on imported technologies. The purpose of the work is to identify and systematize the key problems of implementing and developing digitalization technologies in various sectors of the Russian Federation's economy. The methodological basis was a systemic approach, within which a set of qualitative and quantitative methods was applied, including the analysis of secondary sources, industry cases, and statistical data. The article provides a detailed analysis of the level of digital transformation in sectors such as industry, agriculture, construction, transport, healthcare, education, and finance. Based on the results of the study, systemic problems hindering digitalization are identified: insufficient integration of technologies into education, business underestimation of their potential, restrictions due to sanctions, imperfections in state support programs, and an acute shortage of IT personnel. In conclusion, solutions are proposed, including the development of state-private partnership, support for domestic developments and startups, modernization of educational programs, and increased investment in scientific research and development.
