The environmental strategic planning in the LPR: preconditions and tasks

Abstract

The article considers the negative dynamics of the population of the Luhansk People's Republic to be the main precondition for the environmental strategic planning in the republic, the dependence of the population’s quality of living on the state of the environment has been established. The paper analyzes the work of the LPR Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Safety for the entire period of its existence, and reveals certain trends in its activity, having negative impact on the environmental safety of the region. The author proves the need for the development of the environmental safety strategy aimed at achieving short- and long-term results. Environmental Strategy is to provide an environmentally-oriented economic development, preservation of favorable environment, biodiversity and natural resources, to meet the needs of present and future genera-tions.
