Abstract

The research is devoted to the analysis of inventive activity in Russia and the world for the period 2013-2022. Absolute and relative indicators characterizing inventive activity were analyzed for 36 states. Russia's place in the world has been determined in terms of patent applications for inventions (without foreign applicants). It was revealed that despite the fact that among the reviewed states in 2022, Russia is in 7th place in terms of the absolute number of applications for inventions, it is in 18th place in terms of the coefficient of inventive activity. The dynamics of inventive activity in Russia and in eight states, which had the largest number of applications for inventions and (or) high rates of increase in the coefficient of inventive activity, is projected for the period 2023-2027. It is advisable to study and apply the experience of these eight states in the field of development of invention and intellectual property in Russia.
